DSi flashcart–R4 clone families
Posted in News on 05/29/2009 03:05 am by GGCSince dsi released in different regions, all kinds of flashcart clones and well-known producers launched their own “i” card. It seems that Nintendo fans have reached “i” generation.
Here we are not going to talk about which one better is, but make a list of “i” flash cart clones. For all clones, they come from copying others’ core technology and playing some tricks. And for the clone product, gamers worry about their after-sales service and the kernel update. The counterfeit products mostly use the name of R4 flood into market.
R4 Ultra / R4i (r4ultra.com):
The R4 Ultra is part R4 Clone, and part AceKard RPG clone (the loader is apparently a copy of the RPG’s). The ‘R4i’ is a DSi-compatiable clone R4 from the same R4 Ultra devs. It shares the same loader.
Hyper-R4i (hyper4i.com):
The ‘Hyper-R4i’ is yet another R4 namesake, designed for the DSi. Copied from either (most liekly both of) the EZVi or AK2i.
R4i-SDHC (r4i-sdhc.com):
The R4-SDHC / R4i-SDHC is another clone or namesake of the R4, the loader is from DSTT.
Gold R4i (r4ids.com):
The Gold R4i is yet another R4i clone. Made by the same people as (and practically identical to) the Super R4i.
