Let’s look back to some things related to flashcarts happened in recent months: In November, 2008, Nintendo released new handheld console Dsi, and announced that all flashcarts cannot be run on it. Then several new flash kits—AK2i, DSTTi, EZ5i came into being(in December, 2008). They may be obsolete by DSi firwmare update by Nintendo, although they work fine currently. Now different version of NDSi will hit market a few days later. And Nintendo announced the region limits on different version of NDSi.According to the recent news that the AK2i can not boot on the European DSI. Here comes a problem: whether the current flashcarts can be playable on NDSi or not. And following the release of NDSi, lots of games and softwares will also be launched. We know that most of present games have copy protected. Facing the copy protection of games and firmware update of NDSi, flashcart family seems to have great hardships.

Fortunately, flashcart producers have their own ways to solve problems. Undoubtedly, first action is updating new kernel. Or perhaps a new card may come out. How can you imagine your life without a flashcart?
